Why Melbourne Is The Most Liveable City

I’ve spoken about Melbs many times here, and it holds a special place in my heart. Here are some reasons why this city takes the cake in my heart.

Center of Sports
In 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2016, Melbs was declared by SportsBusiness as the World’s Ultimate Sporting City. Amongst all of Australia’s cities, Melbs was the first to host the Olympic Games. The Australian Football League also originated from Melbs. Melbs also hosted hosted the Australian Open, The Melbourne Cup, AFL Grand Final and the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Culture Capital
Melbourne is also the country’s center of cultural richness. Housing the National Gallery of Victoria, the most popular gallery, the city also takes pride of other cultural establishments such as the Royal Exhibition Building and the Australian Center for the Moving Image. Let’s not forget the Melbourne Museum, the biggest gallery in the Southern Hemisphere. Other cultural related activities the city hosts are exhibitions and world class festivals to name a few.

Coffee
The city is a home of expert baristas. Expect the finest and most authentic coffee anywhere in Melbourne. Their baristas celebrate the art of coffee – they can brew anything from scratch – from classics to the lattes and many others.

Easy To Navigate
The city is composed of grids and straight roads that get it easier to navigate. Melbourne has a free City Circle Tram together with the trains, tram and buses.

Multicultural
Melbourne is just as multicultural as it gets, with over 200 nationalities living on it. Among these nationalities are the Italians, Vietnamese, and Chinese who take up a large number of the city’s population. Records show that Melbourne has the largest Greek populace amongst other cities outside Greece. With these varied nationalities, expect ranges of ethnic cuisine to be available everywhere.

How can you not love Melbourne?
